The Countdown is on for Towamencin's America 250 Celebration
For the past year, our America 250 Committee has been working tirelessly to create an unforgettable celebration honoring our nation’s 250th birthday. We are excited to bring our community together for an evening filled with patriotism, history, entertainment, and family fun. Here is everything you need to know:
- 📅Date: Thursday, June 25 (Rain date - Friday, June 26)
- 📍Location: Fischer's Park - 2225 Bustard Road, Lansdale, PA 19446
- ⌚Time: 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm

✅ Event schedule and attractions
This event will include a fun, family-friendly evening; enjoy games, crafts, a petting zoo, food vendors, trivia, live music, historical organizations, and reenactors who will bring the past to life. We’ll wrap up the night with a spectacular patriotic drone light show you won’t want to miss!
- 4:30 pm - Shuttle buses begin at Nash and Corporate Park
- 5:30 pm - Opening Ceremony and Event Kickoff - activities include:
- 13 Colonies Trivia, FREE petting zoo, face painting, games, and crafts; Reenactors (Uncle Sam the Stilt Walker, Betsy Ross, Benjamin Franklin, George & Martha Washington, Ned Hector, 71st Infantry); Storytime with George & Martha Washington; 71st Infantry Civil War reenactment group firing demonstration; and Food trucks (Babalouie BBQ, Dog Bites, From the Boot, Kona Ice, Mr. Softee, Henning’s, Miss Megan’s Buns on the Run)
- 5:45 - 6:15 pm - Liberty Belles Performance
- 6:30 pm - 71st Infantry Civil War Firing Demonstration
- 7:00 - 9:00 pm - Montgomery County Concert Band Performance
- 8:30 pm - Face Painting, petting zoo & reenactors close
- 9:15 - 9:30 pm - Drone Show
- 9:30 pm Event ends

✅ Parking areas and parking restrictions
Please note that while the event is at Fischer’s Park, parking for attendees will be at Nash Elementary School and at the Bustard Road Corporate Center – across from The Mill. Shuttle buses will transport attendees to and from the park. Parking restrictions at Fischer's Park will take effect at 3:30 pm and will be limited to event participants, vendors, and vehicles displaying handicap placards. ONLY those with an authorized parking pass will be able to park at Fischer’s Park from 3:30 pm onward.
✅ Shuttle and transportation details
Shuttle buses will be provided by Metz Buses for all event attendees. Shuttle services will be available at both Nash Elementary School (1560 Liberty Bell Drive) and at the Bustard Road Corporate Center (1690 Sumneytown Pike). Shuttle buses will transport attendees to and from the park from 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm.

To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please take a moment to locate the nearest exits, first-aid station, and information booth. If you need assistance at any time, please contact event staff, volunteers, or police. Please keep walkways clear, stay aware of your surroundings, and supervise children at all times. We encourage everyone to stay hydrated, use sun protection as needed, look out for one another, and report any safety concerns immediately. In the event of an emergency, remain calm and follow instructions from event staff, police, or emergency responders.
The Infantry Firing Demonstration, located towards the back, will be fenced in from the field to the water line and into the woods. No one is permitted to walk within the firing range.
