From the Fall 2026 Newsletter - Hidden Treasures in Towamencin
OSPAC is creating a program to identify, mark, and map parks and known historical sites throughout Towamencin. As part of this effort, we want to highlight the “hidden treasures” of Towamencin—special places that hold personal, historical, or community significance. Do you have a favorite spot in Towamencin that you consider a hidden treasure? OSPAC invites you to share it with us so we can include it in this community project. Please email your submission to Towamencin.OSPAC@gmail.com and include the following:
- The reason you consider the location a hidden treasure.
- No more than two pictures of the site.
- The GPS coordinates or address of the location so we can visit and map it.
We'll compile the information and plot the locations on a digital map available on the Towamencin website.

Bocce Ball

Roll into fun with Bocce Ball in our Township! The courts are open and ready for action — and the best part? They’re open to everyone! Whether you're a classic player or new to the scene, Bocce is an easy-to-learn, highly social activity perfect for all ages. Gather your friends, family, or meet some new faces — it’s time to toss some balls, share some laughs, and enjoy this classic game. Be sure to read the Bocce History and Rules document before you begin—it's a great resource that not only explains how to play but also provides insight into the game's origin and the traditions. Please note that all players are required to bring their own bocce equipment, as these will not be provided on-site. Let’s play! 🟢⚪🔴
Geocaching

Geocaching has returned to Towamencin Township! Geocaching has been approved at four select parks; see below. New guidelines are in place to keep the fun safe and sustainable for participants. These guidelines aim to protect our parks, wildlife, and community while preserving the spirit of geocaching. Whether you are a seasoned cacher or just starting, now’s the ideal time to take your GPS (or phone), go out, and begin discovering hidden treasures nearby.
