Comprehensive Plan Update
The final adoption of the Township’s Comprehensive Plan took place on July 22, 2026, via Resolution 26-21, accounting for some outstanding minor edits. The final copy will be posted upon receipt from planning consultant Simone Collins Landscape Architecture.
Prior to adoption, there was a 45-day review period, during which the draft plan was forwarded to the Township and County Planning Commissions, the North Penn School District, and our bordering municipalities, where each party had an opportunity to provide public comment.
Final Comp Plan - June 1, 2026
Towamencin Township requests public review and comment on the proposed 2026 Comprehensive Plan. The proposed Plan has been distributed to all municipalities contiguous to Towamencin Township and to the North Penn School District for review and comment. In accordance with Section 302 of the MPC, all comments on the draft Comprehensive Plan must be received within forty-five (45) days of this notice, and ahead of the adoption hearing on July 22, 2026.
The Comprehensive Plan is intended to guide the Township's future development based upon recent information regarding existing and projected population and other demographic conditions.
Draft Final Plan - May 7, 2026
Public Meeting #3
A public meeting to present the Final Comprehensive Plan will be held on May 27, 2025, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Meeting Hall Building at the Municipal Complex. Residents are encouraged to attend and share their input on the future of the community.
Draft Plan Now Available - January 2025
Towamencin's draft plan is now available for public view, links below. The public comment period has been extended to Wednesday, March 19, 2025. The Final Public Meeting is anticipated for Spring 2025. Advance notice will be provided.
Public meetings for the Comprehensive Plan Update were held on January 18, 2024 and November 21, 2024 in the Meeting Hall Building of the Municipal Complex. Presentations and notes can be found below.

At the Board’s July 26, 2023 meeting, they accepted Simone Collins’ proposal to update the Township’s Comprehensive Plan. On October 25, 2023, Peter Simone presented an overview of the project's future timeline, goals and next steps. The project's schedule and presentation materials are featured below.
