2024 Primary Election April 23 - Secure Ballot Drop Box Locations & Hours of Operation

The primary election is this Tuesday, April 23. For those wish to vote in person, polling places are open from 7 am to 8 pm.  Check your voting status/polling location.

Montgomery County urges those voting by mail to use one of the County’s 12 secure drop boxes located throughout the County. Ballots delivered to a secure drop box are picked up daily by Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies and delivered directly back to Voter Services. A map of the drop boxes is available here. Most drop boxes are available 24 hours a day until April 23 at 8 p.m. When voting by mail, voters must sign and date the outer envelope of their ballot and can only deliver their own ballot, unless they have a completed designated agent form. * The drop box located in the lobby of One Montgomery Plaza will be open weekdays from 6 a.m. until 11 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m., and 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Employment Opportunity: FIRE MARSHAL

Towamencin Township is seeking a full-time Fire Marshal. This position will be responsible for enforcing all laws, ordinances, codes and regulations related to fire prevention, investigation, and administration. The Fire Marshal will perform residential and commercial inspections, in accordance with nationally adopted Fire Prevention Code and Local Ordinances. Will serve as the Chief Fire Investigator, documenting all fires of a serious nature and keep records of all fires and investigations. The position will review land development and new construction plans related to fire prevention and protection, and conduct regulatory compliance inspections pertaining to change of occupancy and life safety codes. Extensive knowledge of Pennsylvania Building Codes, NFPA Standards, and Township Ordinances is expected. Firefighting experience is preferred and strongly encouraged. This position reports to the Director of Planning, Zoning and Code Enforcement.

An Associate’s degree in Fire Science or related field, or at least 10 years in a fire service command position is required. Minimum five (5) years fire service experience including fire investigation, code enforcement, fire prevention and firefighting. Fire prevention/inspection training from accredited fire training facilities. A valid Pennsylvania driver’s license Class-C. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook programs, fire service-related records management and computer aided design or drawing software programs. Position includes excellent benefits with a salary range of $83,000 to $88,000, commensurate with qualifications; work schedule 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, at times, work hours will occur outside typical schedule.
