
The County is still accepting volunteers to serve as poll workers in the General Election on Tuesday, November 7th. County staff confirmed there is still a need in Towamencin Township. To be a poll worker, residents must meet the following requirements under the PA Election Code:
- Be a registered voter in Montgomery County
- Cannot be employed by any branch of Government at the Federal, State, County or Municipal level
- Cannot hold public office, serve on any public commissions or boards or be a current candidate for public office
The PA Election Code does permit High School students who are 17 years of age to serve at the polls in specific capacities. If interested, use this link to apply to be poll worker or student poll worker.
Applicants are encourage to apply soon - and no later than October 23 for students - to account for training.
Important Dates
- October 23 - last day to register to vote
- October 31 - mail-in & absentee ballot applications must be received
- November 7 - in-person voting, voting hours 7 am – 8pm
- November 7 - mail-in & absentee ballots due by 8 pm
