Fischer’s Park 5–12-year-old Playground Update
Township staff plans to open the 5–12-year-old playground tomorrow, April 13th, around 10 am. After waiting several weeks for parts, the needed replacements/repairs are just about complete.
Bustard Park and Drinnon Park Playgrounds Closed
Unfortunately, it was recently discovered that the playground equipment (slides) at two of our other parks requires replacement. At both Bustard Park and Drinnon Park playgrounds, the bottom section of the sliding boards has cracked, creating the potential for a child to get hurt. Therefore, we have closed the two playgrounds until repairs can be made. The replacement parts were ordered but will take several weeks till they arrive. We expect the Bustard Park and Drinnon Park playgrounds to be closed for up to 4-6 weeks. We realize children love our facilities and it is an inconvenience at this time of year. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
Board of Supervisors – April 12th Meeting
The next Board of Supervisors Meeting will be held tonight, April 12th at 7 pm. This meeting will be held in the Meeting Hall of the Municipal Complex, located at 1090 Troxel Road, Lansdale. These meetings are streamed online via Zoom, for residents unable to attend in person, but wish to watch and/or hear the meeting. Public comments may be submitted in advance for those who can not physically attend the meetings or made in person. For those unable to attend in person, submit your public comment to info@towamencin.org until 4:30 pm the day of the meeting and your comment will be read at the beginning of the meeting.

Sidewalk & Trail Connectivity Study - Public Meeting & online Survey Closing April 13
The Township’s Planning Consultant, Simone Collins, is performing a Connectivity Study in coordination with the Township's Planning Commission. The study will be used to determine where additional sidewalks and/or trails should be provided to improve mobility for pedestrians and bicyclists within the Township. The Township website includes a dedicated webpage for future meeting dates, meeting notes, presentations and an online survey. This resource can be found under the Community Connections section of the homepage of our website, or using the link here.
As part of the study, an online survey (survey link) was created to collect data from resident responses. Feedback from Township residents and other stakeholders will help prioritize desired locations for future sidewalks and trails. The online study survey will be open through April 13, 2023.

Township residents will be inspired by an informative indoor presentation by Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy staff and will get to take home native plants for their gardens. 2023 Pool Season Update
The Township’s Community Pool will open for the 2023 pool season on Saturday, May 27. During the off-season, our Public Works department performed significant repairs to address the leaks that plagued the H-pool last season. With the milder winter, Public Works was able to jump start facilities and grounds maintenance and will continue to do so as we prepare to open the facility.
