Correction to E-news: Nov. 4th - General Election Reference

In the previous November 4 E-news posting, it noted Towamencin Township is holding a General Election on November 8, 2022. This text is not accurate as the County is holding the election within the Township. See revised text below. 

A General Election is being held on November 8, 2022, by the County, between the hours 7 am and 8 pm. This election includes a ballot question - by petition of a group of Township residents - asking Towamencin residents if they are in favor or against electing a government study commission of seven members to study the existing form of government, with a selection of seven candidates for the commission.

  • November 8 (by 8 pm) - mail-in & absentee ballots due
  • November 8 – In-person voting (polling hours 7 am - 8 pm)

Secure Ballot Drop Boxes

Completed mail-in ballots and absentee ballots may be dropped off starting Saturday, October 29, 2022, through Election Day on November 8, 2022, from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. A secure ballot drop box will also be available in the lobby of County administration offices at One Montgomery Plaza in Norristown for extended hours.

Voter education staff will be on hand at each drop box location to assist voters with proper ballot return procedures. Ballots placed in the secure ballot drop boxes are delivered daily to the Montgomery County Voter Services by County Security, and date stamped when they are received. Voters choosing to utilize the secure ballot drop boxes may only return their own ballot.  

The closest drop-box to Towamencin is the Lansdale drop box location by District Court 38-1-28, 430 Pennbrook Pkwy, Lansdale, PA 19446.

Campaign Yard Sign Recycling Program

Montgomery County will again run a campaign yard sign recycling program.  The attached flyer contains details and a list of drop off sites around the county where campaign signs and metal stands can be brought for recycling after the election. Hatfield Township and Lower Salford Township Buildings are local drop off sites.
