How can I obtain a form for paying my local Earned Income Tax?

Forms are available from Berkheimer Associates. You can reach customer service and download forms from their website at www.hab-inc.com

How do I remove a deceased or divorced spouse's name from the Real Estate Tax bill?

You must send the original death or divorce certificate to the Montgomery County Board of Assessments, P.O. Box 311, Norristown, PA 19404. Advise them that you want the spouse’s name removed.

How do I change the mailing address that my Township and County tax and sewer bills are sent to?

You must send or fax a letter authorizing the Township to change the mailing address. Please forward this authorization to: Towamencin Township, P.O. Box 303, Kulpsville, PA 19443 or fax to the Tax Dept. (215) 368-6217. Please do not forget to note the property location that the mailing address change pertains to.

I live in Towamencin Township, but work elsewhere. Do I still have to pay the Earned Income Tax? (EIT)

Chances are, you are already paying the tax to the other municipality where you work. Check your pay stub to be sure. However, when Towamencin did not have the EIT, the municipality where you work kept the tax you paid. Now, up to ½ percent of what you pay is returned to Towamencin Township. If your work in Philadelphia, you pay the city's wage tax, and no portion of that is returned to Towamencin, and you are exempt from having to pay the ½ percent EIT to Towamencin Township as well. If you are not currently paying an EIT, than you must now pay ½ of 1 percent.

I got a sewer bill, but not a tax bill. Now what?

The sewer and tax bills were sent in the same envelope. The envelope was labeled in big red letters: TAX and SEWER BILLS ENCLOSED

When are these bills due?

The bills are due by June 30th of the current year. However, we offer a 2% discount if you pay by April 30th. You have until June 30th to pay the bill with no penalties. Beginning July 1, penalties are added to the total of your bill.

Tax payments not received by 12 noon on December 30, 2013 will be turned over to Montgomery County. Sewer payments not received by 12:00 noon on December 30, 2013 will result in a lien being placed against the property and additional fees or water shut-off procedures.

How do I obtain a Tax Certification?

Tax certifications are handled through the Tax Collector's Office. The cost for a tax certification is $25. Please put your request in writing to Robert A. Di Domizio, Jr., P. O. Box 1415, Kulpsville, PA 19443. Mr. Di Domizio can also be reached at (215) 723-7297, or via email at tax@Robertdidomizio.com if you should have any questions.
